A Young Carer is defined as a child or young person who is undertaking a caring role for a family member with a terminal/long term illness or disability.

This also includes hard-to-reach children and young people who are affected by their parent's behaviour through drug & alcohol abuse, mental health problems or domestic violence.

This site is here to enable Young Carers to make contact to the services or adivce they need.

Basingstoke Young Carers worked with 7Stream Media to create a video raising the awareness of Young Carers for Basingstoke & Deane. The video shows some storys of there lifes and what support there is for them and what they would feel like if the support went due to lack of funding. Any feedback through the contact us page is very welcome.
